10 Best Wedding Venues in Milton Keynes

There are lots of amazing venues in and around Milton Keynes. From pretty rustic barns to beautiful stately homes, you’re sure to find the perfect place to tie the knot! Here are my top ten wedding venues in and around Milton Keynes.

Chicheley Hall – Newport Pagnall

This incredible Grade I listed building is one of the most popular venues in Milton Keynes. Nestled in the Buckinghamshire countryside, this magnificent 18th century house has 80 acres of grounds with perfectly manicured gardens that can be used throughout the day for couple portraits and group photos. The large Georgian windows fill the ceremony and reception spaces with light which helps to give your wedding photos a bright, airy feel. The main house is licensed to hold civil ceremonies of up to 100 people so, if you’re having a large wedding, this venue may be a little on the small side. They do however have marquee facilities available so you could still make use of the magnificent grounds.

Flaxbourne Gardens – Aspley Guise

This gorgeous venue is just outside of Milton Keynes, in the Bedfordshire countryside. The beautiful archways, hidden grotto and waterfalls make Flaxbourne Gardens a wonderfully unique place to say ‘I Do’. The picturesque gardens create the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony and a Marquee is available to use for wedding receptions. If you’re looking for a Flaxbourne Gardens wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you!

Woburn Safari Park – Woburn

This is one of my favourite places to visit and I would absolutely love to photograph a wedding here! The Safari Lodge overlooks the lake and is licensed to hold weddings of up to 100 people. You and your guests can drive round the safari and, if you’re looking for wedding photos that are completely unique, close encounter animal experiences are available for small groups.

Bradwell Abbey – Milton Keynes

This stunning medieval Stone Barn is a popular venue for couples getting married in Milton Keynes. The walls are lined with white fabric giving the venue a bright and airy feel. The barn seats up to 100 people so perfect for small and intimate ceremonies. Guests can enjoy the wedding breakfast in the beautiful Grade II listed Cruck Barn and, for smaller celebrations, the venue has a gorgeous open fronted barn called The Hovel. The nearby bluebell woods makes this venue a great choice for Spring weddings.

Wilton Hall – Bletchley

Wilton Hall was built in 1943 but was only recently renovated in 2021 to become the wedding venue it is today. It’s a big venue that can hold up to 350 people for both the ceremony and receptions. It’s a bit of a blank canvas that can easily be transformed with creative lighting and floral decorations.

Horwood House – Little Horwood

Nestled in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside, this recently refurbished manor house has become a popular venue for couples that are looking to tie the knot in Milton Keynes. The tree lined entrance, sweeping staircases and beautiful gardens create the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. The main ceremony room is nice and bright with high ceilings with ornate detailing. There is also an outdoor ceremony space just next to the secret garden, making it the perfect spot for summer weddings.

Woburn Sculpture Gallery – Woburn

This incredible country house in Bedfordshire is part the Woburn Estate home to the Safari Park and Deer Park. The picturesque gardens and views create a perfect backdrop for your big day. The interior is decorated with beautiful sculptures and marble detailing and the greenhouse is a fantastic spot for couple and group photos. The venue has had to undergo some major refurbishment since 2020 but is set to reopen in Spring 2025. If you’re looking for a Woburn Sculpture Gallery wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you.

Huntsmill Farm – Buckingham

This rustic 18th Century converted barn is situated on the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire border. The venue is licensed to host ceremonies in two different barns, depending on how many guests your having, and has an outdoor space where you and your husband-to-be can say your vows. One of the best things about this venue is that it’s available to hire for two nights and there are seven cottages on site for friends and family to stay in. The surrounding countryside, characterful barns and rustic features make this an ideal venue to get some amazing wedding photos.

Crockwell Farm – Northampton

This family run venue is situated north-west of Milton Keynes in Daventry. A beautiful orchard provides the perfect backdrop to a spring or summer wedding ceremony and the gorgeous 17th Century barn is where guests can enjoy the wedding breakfast and reception. This venue also includes accommodation for friends and family and an amazing honeymoon suite for the newlyweds. The venue was also recently renovated in 2020 so it’s definitely deserves a place in my top ten wedding venues in Milton Keynes.

The Barn at Newton Park Farm – Newton Blossomville

This family run venue is situated in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside near Olney. The barn is licensed for ceremonies of up to 100 people and there’s also a hut by the lake if you like the idea of an outdoor wedding. Views of the surrounding farmland and rustic barns create lots of opportunities for amazing wedding photos. I’d recommending scheduling some couple pictures at sunset to make the most of the picturesque scenery.

If you’re looking for a Milton Keynes wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you.
