Cake Smash Session – Isabelle
28th April 2016
Emma and Jon have booked me to photograph their wedding at Almshoebury Farm in Hitchin next July. They were looking to do an interim shoot to celebrate their daughter Isabelle’s first birthday and liked the idea of doing a family portrait session outside, along with a cake smash session in the studio. Cake smash session’s are a great way to achieve a more stylised look and get some great expressions. I have lots of different coloured back drops that I work with to compliment the colour of the cake make each shoot personal.
Isabelle looked adorable in her little pink tutu and gold crown. Emma had also brought along big ‘ONE’ letters and pink balloons which complimented her outfit perfectly. It’s always great to see the reaction when you give a one year old an entire cake to eat! She began by picking off the icing but it wasn’t long before she had her feet in the cake! Isabelle did so well in the session and was so smiley…I can’t wait to photograph her again at her parent’s wedding in July.
