East Quay Wedding – Julie and Darren
2nd December 2016
EAST QUAY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Julie and I went to the same university and I’ve known her for years so it was a pleasure when she asked me to document her big day. The couple decided to have their wedding at East Quay in Whitstable, just by the seafront…the views were spectacular!
BRIDAL PREPARATIONS AT THE CRESCENT TURNER HOTEL
Julie got ready at the Crescent Turner Hotel with her beautiful bridesmaids. She wore a pretty beaded gown, a pair of shimmery heels with a bouquet of succulents, her favourite flower. The bridesmaids wore incredible sparkly dresses with matching heels.
CEREMONY BY THE SEA
The ceremony felt very romantic as a guitarist played a slow version of ” You’re The One That I Want” from Greece, as the bridal party made their entrance. The couple also had personalised vows that were touching and heartfelt…there wasn’t a dry eye i the building! The bride and groom also incorporated a ring warming into their ceremony. The rings were passed around, from guest to guest, to allow all their loved ones to hold the rings and send a wish or a prayer. It was such a touching way to get everybody involved in the ceremony.
Afterwards, Julie and Darren braved the cold to get some pictures on the beach. It was a cloudy day but it created some lovely light to work with. As the sun went down, the guests congregated outside with some sparklers and we got some fantastic pictures.
EAST QUAY WEDDING RECEPTION
The reception room was beautiful with exposed brick walls and rustic wooden beams. Julie had decorated it perfectly using green foliage, pretty fairy lights and personalised oyster shells as favours. Guests also enjoyed a delicious buffet meal prepared with local fish and seafood. Some hilarious speeches followed thanks to Julie’s brothers, Darren and his best men. Lots of guests has brought cakes and treats that they’d baked so there was a fantastic selection for dessert. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer you can get in touch via my contact page.
Julie and Darren were a delight to photograph and I left them on the dance floor, dancing the night away!
