CAPTURING WEDDINGS IN THE HOME COUNTIES
I grew up in Bushey, just on the outskirts of Watford, and first fell in love with photography when I was studying art at school. I got my first photography job at a family portrait studio and felt so lucky that I had a job I felt so passionate about. After I few years, I started looking at the possibility of documenting weddings. I'd spent a lot of time posing couples in a studio environment but loved the idea of travelling to different venues around the UK. As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I started working for myself back in 2013 and have since photographed hundreds of weddings in and around Greater London and the Home Counties.
On a wedding day, my focus is on capturing authentic moments in a classic, cinematic way. From bridal prep to first dance, I'll work unobtrusively to document your day in a stylish and creative way.

TYING THE KNOT IN HERTFORDSHIRE
There are lots of amazing places in Hertfordshire to tie the knot with venues to suit every style. Barns have been very popular wedding venues for the last few years and there are plenty to choose from. Tewin Bury Farm has four different reception spaces to choose from and you also have the option of holding your ceremony outdoors. Micklefield Hall in Rickmansworth is also worth considering if you want a wedding with a rustic feel complete with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
If manor houses are more your thing, then the manor house is Great Offley is definitely worth considering. It boasts a beautiful rose garden and large reception areas, perfect for a big wedding. Hatfield House is another grand stately home with impressive gardens and a beautiful interior fit for any wedding breakfast. For couples who are looking to say "I Do' in the great outdoors, Lodge Farm House and Beaumont Hall have perfectly picturesque gardens to get married in.

DOCUMENTING YOUR BIG DAY
When photographing a wedding, I always like to get a variety of natural moments, beautifully posed portraits and classic group photos. The equipment I use is designed to help me do this in the most effective way. I use two Sony A7iii mirrorless cameras which give me the freedom to shoot from multiple angles and have a large sensor enabling me to shoot at a high ISO in low light. I tend to use my telephoto lenses for portraits of the bride and groom and wide angle lenses to capture candid shots in a documentary style. The lenses I use are all Sony or Leica as they produce sharp images and enable me to shoot at wide apertures - perfect for creating that beautiful bokeh!
Flash is something I use at every wedding. Although I love working with natural light during bridal prep and the ceremony, I find the speeches and first dance usually require off camera flash to make the images pop. Shooting into the flash creates beautiful lens flare that evokes a cinematic feel. I usually convert some of these more intimate and emotional moments to black and white.
All of my packages include digital images which are colour corrected, retouched and uploaded to an online gallery for you to share with friends and family.
