BRIDAL PREPARATIONS AT TAPLOW HOUSE
Sophia and Alex got married on a beautiful, sunny Spring day at Lillibrooke Manor wedding venue, a grade II listed barn in Berkshire. The day begin at a nearby hotel called Taplow House where Sophia was getting ready with her mum and sister. She wore a stunning Caroline Castigliano corseted dress with lace detailing at the top and a ribbon accent around the waist. A pair of classic satin heels and elegant white bouquet finished off the outfit perfectly.
LILLIBROOKE MANOR WEDDING
The ceremony took place in the small barn which was decorated with pretty pink blossom arrangements and ivy. A cellist provided the background music in the Cloister Garden as guests began to arrive whilst the ushers attempted to pin Alex’s buttonhole – not an easy task! A beautiful ceremony followed and everyone made their way into the gardens to enjoy cocktails in the warm weather.
The sunshine gave us some interesting, dramatic light to work with and the grounds at Lillibrooke provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s portraits. The wedding breakfast took place in the Great Barn. It’s a beautiful big room decorated with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling, pretty floral centrepieces made up of white roses and pink tulips and candle chandeliers adorned with ivy. We headed out again at sunset to capture some more portraits. I always find the couple are more relaxed at this point in the day and the light is a lot softer. The long driveway combined with the old timbers of the barns provided the ideal surroundings for Alex and Sophia’s portraits.
As day turned to night, the Sophia and Alex made their way to the dance floor to have their first dance as husband and wife. Despite their nerves and lack of preparation, their dance was amazing and looked so perfect under the twinkly fairy lights draped across the ceiling. It was a pleasure to document this lovely couple’s day and what a gorgeous day it was!
