Sophie & Andris – 29th June 2019
GETTING MARRIED AT MORDEN HALL
Sophie and Andris’ Wedding took place at Morden Hall, a spectacular manor house surrounded by idyllic grounds in south London. It’s situated next to a national trust deer park on the banks of the River Wandle. The bridal suite was perfect for Sophie and her bridesmaids to get ready in with beautiful high ceilings and lots of natural light – perfect for photos! I’d photographed Andris’ sister’s wedding the year before so it was lovely to see lots of familiar faces.
BRIDAL PREPARATIONS
It was an unseasonably hot Spring day in June and Sophie looked amazing in her pretty tulle Grace Love Lace gown. The bridesmaids wore colourful blue dresses which complimented the blue and peach floral arrangements perfectly. The ceremony was very emotional with lots of happy tears and tender moments between the bride and groom. Due to the exceptionally hot weather we didn’t do too many portraits at this point in the day. Some guests relaxed in the shade with ice cold cocktails whilst other played lawn games in the gardens. This is a great opportunity to capture lots of natural moments and pictures of all your friends and family enjoying the day.
WEDDING CEREMONY
Speeches followed and the bride and groom made some heartfelt toasts which had many of their guests in tears. Their love for each other was evident throughout the day and those little moments are some of my favourites things to document.
Day turned to night and I left the couple dancing the night away with all their favourite people. I loved capture this lovely couple’s big day; they truly were a delight to photograph.
