TEWIN BURY FARM WEDDING // EMILY & LIAM

Tewin Bury Farm Wedding

Emily and Liam – 9th September 2017

BRIDAL PREPARATIONS

Emily and Liam eloped on a sunny day in September at St Mary’s Church in Hemel Hempstead. Bridal preparations began at Emily’s parents’ house where here and her bridesmaids had their hair and make up done. She wore a beautiful fitted lace Stella York gown from Bride’s of Berkhamsted with a classic white rose teardrop bouquet. The bridesmaids had gorgeous lilac gowns with a low back and diamante detailing which worked perfectly with the page boys light blue suits. Emily’s dad’s reaction was priceless when he saw he in her wedding dress…lots of happy tears! A traditional church ceremony followed with readings by close friends and family.  As the couple left the church they were greeted with cheers, applause and lots of confetti before everyone made their way to the wedding reception at Tewin Bury Farm in Welwyn.

TEWIN BURY FARM WEDDING RECEPTION

The venue boasts lots of great photo opportunities so I decided to use the vast areas of green foliage as a nice neutral backdrop for group pictures. It was a slightly overcast day with a few spots of sunshine which produced the perfect light for this type of portrait. The clouds began to get a little darker but we managed to get some great couple pictures using the front of the barn and old Victorian style lamppost before the heavens opened.

The guests made their way to the Tythe Barn where the wedding breakfast was to be served. The room looked amazing decorated with centrepieces with white roses, a canopy of fairy lights hung from the ceiling and white candles in glass votives tied with twine. Emily’s mum is a florist and she did an incredible job decorating the room. There were vintage style baskets for the cards, flip flops and glow sticks surrounded by sections of tree trunks, candles and bud vases to give the whole venue a more rustic and romantic feel.

After the meal, the groom, best man and father of the bride said a few funny and heartfelt words before Emily and Liam made their way to the dance floor to cut the cake. The evening continued with lots of laughter, some crazy dance moves and a huge inflatable bottle of Champagne! I left the couple with their friends and family dancing the night away.
